Principal Backend Engineer

Architect and lead the development of our core backend systems, driving technical strategy for our high-scale distributed platform. You'll work on challenging problems around data consistency, performance optimization, and system reliability while mentoring senior engineers and influencing our technical roadmap.

Our backend handles millions of requests per day and processes terabytes of data. You'll design systems that are not just scalable, but maintainable and extensible. • 10+ years of backend engineering experience with distributed systems
• Expert proficiency in Go, Python, or Rust with microservices architecture
• Deep understanding of database systems, caching strategies, and message queues
• Experience designing APIs and working with high-throughput, low-latency systems
• Strong knowledge of system design, scalability patterns, and performance optimization
• Track record of technical leadership and cross-team collaboration
• Experience with event-driven architectures and streaming data platforms
