Principal Backend Engineer - Golang

We're looking for a Principal Backend Engineer to architect and build high-performance, distributed systems that power our core platform. You'll work with Go, PostgreSQL, and event-driven architectures to handle massive scale and ensure system reliability.

This is a technical leadership role where you'll drive architectural decisions, establish engineering best practices, and work closely with product teams to deliver complex features. You'll also play a key role in our technical hiring and help grow our engineering culture. Our systems process billions of events daily and require expertise in distributed systems, database optimization, and performance tuning.

• 8+ years of backend development experience with 3+ years in Go
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture, and event-driven design
• Expertise with databases (PostgreSQL, Redis) and message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
• Experience with cloud platforms and container orchestration (Kubernetes preferred)
• Strong knowledge of system design, performance optimization, and scalability patterns
• Experience leading technical projects and mentoring senior engineers
• Excellent communication skills and experience working with cross-functional teams
