Principal Backend Engineer

Drive the technical vision and architecture for our core API platform that powers multiple product lines. You'll lead cross-functional initiatives, design scalable systems, and set engineering standards across our backend teams.

Our platform handles high-throughput workloads using Go, PostgreSQL, Redis, and event-driven architectures. This is a hands-on technical leadership role where you'll both write code and guide architectural decisions that impact millions of users.

• 10+ years of backend engineering experience with distributed systems
• Expert knowledge of Go, Python, or similar systems programming languages
• Deep understanding of database design, optimization, and distributed data systems
• Experience with event-driven architectures and message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
• Strong background in API design, microservices, and system architecture
• Proven track record of leading technical initiatives and mentoring senior engineers
• Experience with high-scale systems handling millions of requests per day
